Northwest Barricade & Signs is currently hiring motivated individuals for Traffic Control Flagger positions. This is a variable-hour position, but employees who are flexible, dependable, and willing to work consistently typically stay busy.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Current Washington State Flagger Certification required
- Valid Washington State driver’s license required
- Must own a reliable vehicle for transportation to and from job sites
Employees will be responsible for maintaining safe traffic control operations on active job sites.
Duties include:
- Standing for extended periods of time (8–12 hour shifts possible)
- Working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Controlling traffic using stop/slow paddles and other signaling devices
- Communicating effectively with crew members and supervisors
- Following all safety procedures and site instructions
- Assisting with setup and movement of traffic control devices as needed
- Maintain awareness of surrounding traffic, pedestrians, and job site activity at all times
Applicants must be able to:
- Stand and walk for extended periods
- Bend, squat, kneel, and reach with full upper mobility regularly
- Lift and carry:
- 10 lbs continuously
- 30 lbs occasionally
- Up to 50 lbs frequently
Pay rate starts at $23-57.66 Hour DOE and job placement.
Typical schedule is Monday- Friday 6 am - 6 pm, but accepting applicants who are willing to commit to at least 4 consistent days during the week and are available for overtime if necessary.
Must be willing to drive up to 50 miles to a job site
