Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of speech and language abilities in patients.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient assessments and needs.
- Implement therapeutic interventions to improve communication skills.
- Provide early intervention services for children with speech and language delays.
- Collaborate with teachers and school staff to support students' communication needs in educational settings.
- Educate patients and their families about speech disorders and treatment options.
- Maintain accurate records of patient progress and treatment outcomes.
- Stay updated on the latest research and techniques in speech therapy.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of physiology and anatomy relevant to speech and language functions.
- Proficiency in medical terminology related to speech therapy practices.
- Experience working with pediatric populations is highly desirable.
- Expertise in speech therapy techniques and methodologies.
- Familiarity with early intervention strategies for young children.
- Excellent patient care skills, demonstrating empathy and understanding towards patients' needs.
- Ability to conduct thorough patient assessments to inform treatment plans.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with families, educators, and healthcare teams.
