We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Dental Assistant or Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to join our vibrant dental team. Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures including general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, and prosthodontics, ensuring efficient workflow and patient comfort.
- Prepare treatment areas by sterilizing and organizing dental instruments in accordance with infection prevention management and aseptic techniques.
- Take and develop dental X-rays and 3D scans while adhering to dental x-ray safety standards and HIPAA privacy regulations.
- Manage patient records using Dentrix, ensuring accurate documentation of medical history, vital signs, medical imaging, and treatment notes.
- Support administrative tasks including dental receptionist duties, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, and maintaining medical documentation in compliance with clinical confidentiality policies.
- Demonstrate proficiency in dental terminology and medical terminology to effectively communicate with patients and team members.
- Uphold strict infection control protocols by following dental sterilization procedures and healthcare infection prevention standards to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
- Assist with clinical procedures involving oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatrics while maintaining high standards of aseptic technique.
- Educate patients on post-treatment care instructions and reinforce good oral hygiene practices to promote overall oral health.
Qualifications
- Valid license or certification as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) or equivalent credential required.
- Proven experience in dental assisting within general dentistry or specialty practices such as pediatric dentistry or oral surgery preferred.
- Strong knowledge of dental instruments processing, sterilization procedures, infection prevention management, and clinical confidentiality policies.
- Familiarity with EMR system Dentrix, for managing medical records efficiently.
- Ability to operate dental X-ray equipment safely while adhering to radiation safety standards.
- Excellent understanding of dental terminology, medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, and healthcare infection control expertise.
- Skilled in chairside assisting techniques such as four-handed dentistry and working with digital imaging tools like 3D scanners.
- Effective communication skills to interact compassionately with patients of all ages, especially pediatrics.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while maintaining high levels of professionalism and attention to detail.

Pay: $25.00 - $34.00 per hour
