JOB Performs a variety of unskilled and semi-skilled physical labor and other duties including maintenance, repair, construction and clean-up activities.
NOTE: This position may be required to work weekends and/or holidays on occasion. EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma or GED
and any combination of training, education, and experience which demonstrates the ability to perform the functions of the position which includes knowledge of equipment, facilities, materials, methods and procedures used in maintenance, construction and repair activities.
LICENSING & TRAINING:

Valid State Driver's License at time of hire

Commercial Driver's License (CDL) within six (6) months of hire

National Incident Management Systems (NIMS) training based on assignment.
- Continued employment is contingent upon all required licenses and certificates being maintained in active status without suspension or revocation.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to perform hard physical labor in a variety of weather conditions, including extremely hot weather. The employee is frequently required to use hands to handle, feel or operate objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to walk, sit and talk or hear. The employee must have the agility to frequently lift and/or be moved up to 50 pounds or more, and occasionally lift weights up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, ability to read printed materials and the ability to adjust focus. Ability to hear, and use professional speech to communicate in person or over the telephone.
WORK ENVIRONMENTS:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The employee works near moving mechanical parts and is frequently exposed to extremely hot weather, wet and/or humid conditions, and vibration. The employee occasionally works in high, precarious places and is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. The employee may also be required to work in roadways while directing traffic and permit required confined spaces after receiving the required training.
