Responsibilities
- Perform professional massage therapy sessions utilizing techniques such as deep tissue massage and trigger point therapy to address client needs.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to understand individual health concerns, preferences, and treatment goals.
- Educate clients on self-care practices and recommend appropriate therapies for pain management and injury recovery.
- Maintain detailed records of treatments, client progress, and relevant medical information in compliance with privacy regulations.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive treatment plans when necessary.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment by adhering to sanitation standards and clinic policies.
- Stay current with industry best practices, new techniques, and ongoing education to continually enhance your skills.
Experience
- Valid state licensure as a Massage Therapist with active certification.
- Proven experience in patient service, demonstrating strong communication and customer service skills.
- Hands-on expertise in deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, and other advanced modalities such as physiologically-based treatments.
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and occupational health principles relevant to massage therapy.
- Prior experience working in a med spa or clinical setting is highly desirable.
- Ability to assess patient needs accurately and tailor treatments accordingly.
