Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Electrician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems across various commercial, industrial, and construction sites. Your expertise will ensure that all electrical work complies with safety standards, electrical codes, and project specifications. Duties
- Install, wire, and troubleshoot electrical systems using schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams.
- Read and interpret construction drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams to ensure accurate installation and repairs.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other testing equipment to diagnose electrical issues effectively.
- Work with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), low voltage systems, and high voltage circuits to support industrial automation projects.
- Conduct renovations and upgrades on existing electrical systems while adhering to NEC (National Electrical Code) standards.
- Collaborate with construction teams on framing carpentry and general handyman tasks related to electrical installations.
- Ensure all work meets safety regulations, including proper handling of high voltage systems and low voltage wiring.
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, inspections completed, and materials used for each project.
Skills
- Proven experience as an industrial or commercial electrician with a strong understanding of electrical systems and safety protocols.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings for accurate installations.
- Hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics, and low/high voltage systems.
- Familiarity with NEC standards, ohmmeters, power tools, hand tools, and other relevant equipment.
- Ability to perform construction site work efficiently while maintaining safety standards.
- Strong problem-solving skills to diagnose electrical issues quickly and accurately.
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with team members and interpreting technical instructions.
- Additional handyman or frame carpentry experience is a plus to support diverse project needs. Pay: $22.00 - $40.00 per hour
