Duties
- Supervise children during daily activities, playtime, meals, naps, and outings to ensure safety at all times
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote learning, creativity, and social skills for children across different developmental stages
- Provide attentive infant and toddler care, including feeding, diapering, and comforting young children
- Maintain clear communication with parents regarding their child's progress, behavior, and daily experiences
- Apply behavior management techniques to encourage positive interactions and emotional regulation among children
- Follow mandated reporting laws by promptly reporting any concerns related to child safety or well-being
- Ensure compliance with early childhood education standards, classroom protocols, and daycare regulations to uphold a high standard of care
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in daycare centers, preschools, babysitting, nannying or youth programs is highly valued
- Demonstrated knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices
- Experience caring for infants through elementary school-age children with an understanding of their unique needs
- Proficiency in activity planning tailored to various age groups that stimulate growth and learning
- Certification in First Aid and CPR is required; additional training in childhood behavior management or special needs care is a plus
- Familiarity with mandated reporting laws ensures responsible handling of sensitive situations
- Classroom or daycare experience that showcases your ability to manage group dynamics effectively
