Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic <PERSON> Assistant to support daily clinical operations and deliver outstanding patient care. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in ophthalmic examinations, medical office procedures, and patient interactions within a high-end optical setting.

Duties
- Assist with patient intake processes, including collecting medical histories and verifying insurance information
- Operate ophthalmic diagnostic equipment like A-scan devices, tonometers, and ophthalmic imaging tools with precision
- Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and clinical confidentiality policies to protect patient information
- Support ophthalmic examinations by preparing patients, managing medical records, and assisting with eye refraction procedures
- Learn about eyewear sales, lens designs and ordering of prescription eyewear
- Provide excellent patient service by addressing questions, scheduling appointments, and ensuring a welcoming environment
Experience
- Prior medical office experience preferred, especially in ophthalmology or optometry setting
- Experience operating medical equipment like A-scan devices, tonometers, or ophthalmic imaging tools is a plus
- Strong understanding of HIPAA compliance and maintaining clinical confidentiality throughout all patient interactions
- Background in retail sales or front desk duties can be beneficial for managing patient flow and administrative tasks
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinic environment while delivering compassionate direct patient care
