Position: Maintenance Technician (Contract)

Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Traveling Maintenance Technician to support maintenance operations at a food and beverage manufacturing facility. This is a hands-on contract position responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production equipment to maximize uptime and ensure safe operations.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical equipment.
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on production machinery.
- Diagnose issues with motors, conveyors, pumps, sensors, PLC-controlled equipment, and pneumatic systems.
- Respond to equipment breakdowns and complete repairs in a timely manner.
- Complete maintenance documentation accurately.
- Follow all plant safety, food safety, and GMP requirements.
- Work effectively with production and maintenance teams to minimize downtime.
Qualifications
- Minimum of **5 years of industrial electro-mechanical maintenance experience**.
- Experience in a food and beverage manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Strong mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
- Willingness and ability to travel to the assigned project location.
- Must have reliable transportation and the ability to pass required pre-employment screenings.
Preferred Experience
- PLC troubleshooting (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar)
- VFDs, motors, and control systems
- Conveyors, packaging equipment, and automated production lines
- Preventative maintenance programs
