Position Title: Landscape Laborer OR Masonry

Key Responsibilities:
- Follow instruction and training from Foreman
- Learn and implement all safety practices and protocols
- Work as part of a team with supervision from foreman to execute completely and safely all landscape projects within project time allotments
- Projects included: Complete landscape construction projects and masonry, planting installations, seasonal container and bedding plant installations, spring clean-ups, edging and mulching, fertilization, insect and disease control, general garden care, mowing, pruning, weeding and fall clean-ups
- Operate various landscape hand tools and equipment including skid loaders, excavators, articulating wheel loaders, sod cutters, rototillers, blowers, hedge trimmers, pruning equipment, lawn mowers, and line trimmers
- Communicate with clients in a polite and courteous manner
- Comply with all company policies and regulations
- You must be proactive in completing tasks that are scheduled to you throughout the day, or actively looking for other tasks to complete to finish the days assigned work
Qualifications:
- Experience in the landscape or hardscape industry is preferred but not necessary
- Valid Pennsylvania driver’s license preferred
- Ability to work as a team to complete maintenance projects
- Display accountability for work being performed
- Display a commitment to safety and practicing safe work behaviors
- Reliable and trustworthy
Work Environment & Physical Demands:
- Ability to lift up to 100 lbs. on occasion
- Ability to transport up to the 50 lbs. of plant material around the job site on a regular basis
- Requires lifting, bending, walking, carrying, and pushing equipment on a continual basis
- Requires working outdoors in various weather conditions and being regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, hot/cold and while moving equipment.
- Must be able to handle a loud noise level when operating certain equipment, such as a lawnmower or backpack blower.
- Job sites are located on both residential and commercial properties. The employee may also occasionally be exposed to the homeowner’s pets.
