Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and enthusiastic Sports Assistant and Birthday Party Host to create memorable experiences for our guests. In this dynamic role, you will oversee a variety of sports and recreational activities, ensure safety protocols are followed, and deliver exceptional customer service. You will also coordinate and host exciting birthday parties, engaging children and their families in fun-filled celebrations. Duties
- Lead and supervise sports activities, games, and outdoor recreation sessions for guests of all ages
- Organize and host birthday parties, including setting up party areas, coordinating activities, and engaging children in entertainment
- Ensure safety protocols are strictly followed during all activities, including first aid and emergency response procedures
- Manage guest interactions with professionalism, providing excellent customer service and resolving any conflicts promptly
- Handle cash transactions, process payments using POS systems, and maintain accurate records of bookings and sales
- Assist with event venue setup and breakdown, including heavy lifting and manual handling of equipment and supplies
- Promote a fun, inclusive atmosphere that encourages participation, teamwork, and enjoyment for all attendees
Requirements
- Experience working with children in recreational or educational settings is highly preferred
- Knowledge of sports management, outdoor work experience, or event venue operations is advantageous
- Certified in first aid and CPR; lifeguard or water safety experience is a plus
- Strong conflict management skills with the ability to handle challenging situations calmly and effectively
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and outdoor activity setup
- Basic math skills for processing cash transactions accurately
- Experience with POS systems, retail sales, or food service environments is desirable
- Comfortable speaking publicly to engage groups or lead activities confidently
- Previous experience in hospitality, resort settings, or theater environments will be considered an asset
- Must be avaaible to work on weekends
