General Statement of Duties: Work as first line supervisors overseeing the overall operation of our production lines. They have a direct impact on the integrity of the products we package and must be committed to maintaining the highest level of quality possible.
Reports to: Plant Manager
Education: Minimum of high school education with appropriate work experience.
Skills and Abilities: Good mechanical, technical, and supervisory skills developed through either hands on experience or through suitable educational training. Must be able to perform supervisory tasks such as directing and training employees and overseeing work activities.
Responsibility and Authority:
1) Oversee the overall operation of one or more production lines.
2) Monitor production line during initial start-up and assign production personnel to designated work stations located on the production line.
3) Train inexperienced employees on general procedures regarding safety and their job assignment.
4) Maintain a good working relationship between themselves and production personnel to promote good employee relations.
5) Spot check any loads to ensure they are properly loaded.
6) Make machine adjustments or minor maintenance repairs as needed to keep production equipment operational.
7) Ensure that good housekeeping practices are being followed in order to keep production areas neat, clean, and safe.
8) Complete production and inventory reports as needed. Also complete receiving reports as production supplies or raw materials are received at our receiving docks.
9) Implement corrective action related to production line when necessary and perform risk analysis on processes.
10) Ensure all customer owned property is maintained.
11) Maintain a Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with the requirements of ISO-9001:2015.
