Supervises: Production Associates
Position Summary:
This position is responsible for and or has the authority to supervise production processes and people to meet established quality, productivity, scheduling and employee relations goals.
Responsibilities:
- Insure the proper implementation of Production policies, processes, and work instructions within established quality operating systems.
- Productively utilizing staff to meet production schedule demands. Collect, verify and analyze production data. Recommend process improvements. Collaborate with necessary groups to effect schedule changes.
- Work with other supervisors as necessary. Ensure compliance with established company policies.
- Developing, maintaining, and reporting on Quality Operating System performance tracking items.
- Has the authority to stop production for quality related issues at any time.

Qualifications:
Education
AS degree in operations, engineering, business or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience is required
Experience
5+ year’s industrial experience including 1+ years in a supervisory capacity. Strong working knowledge of production supervision, preferably in a paint operation.
Skills and Characteristics
Ability to work with associates with a wide range of skills and develop job competencies. Ability and willingness to lead and work in a team oriented work environment and participate in continuous systems improvements is necessary.
Physical Demands/Work Environment
Regular work environment involves regular exposure to some dust and/or fumes. Physical demands require infrequent movement of materials weighing up to 50 lbs. And frequently lifting materials up to 10 lbs. May require the use of respirator for applicable products and processes.
