About the Role:
The Electrical Maintenance Technician, also known as Maintenance Mechanic or Industrial Maintenance Technician, is responsible for ensuring the reliability, performance, and safety of mechanical equipment in a fast-paced production or logistics environment. This is a 2nd shift position, working 2:00 PM to 11:30 PM, and includes a $1000 sign-on bonus. This role focuses on preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of machinery, with added emphasis on PLC systems to support automation and minimize downtime.
Responsibilities:

Perform routine preventive maintenance on mechanical systems, conveyors, motors, pumps, and production equipment.

Diagnose mechanical issues using troubleshooting techniques and repair faulty components to restore equipment functionality.

Troubleshoot and support PLC-controlled equipment, including identifying faults in automated systems and coordinating repairs.

Inspect machinery for wear and defects, replacing parts such as bearings, belts, gears, and seals as needed.

Maintain and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems, ensuring proper operation and safety compliance.

Read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, electrical schematics, and PLC logic diagrams.

Collaborate with operations and engineering teams to improve equipment performance, automation efficiency, and system reliability.

Document maintenance activities, repairs, PLC updates, and parts usage in computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).

Follow safety protocols, lockout tagout procedures, and regulatory standards to maintain a safe work environment.
Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent, technical training or certification in industrial maintenance, mechanical systems, or related field preferred.

Proven experience as a Mechanical Maintenance Technician, Maintenance Mechanic, or Industrial Maintenance Technician in a manufacturing or logistics setting.

Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including conveyors, motors, gearboxes, and rotating equipment.

Hands-on experience with PLC systems, including basic troubleshooting, fault diagnostics, and working knowledge of ladder logic.

Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems maintenance and repair.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, electrical diagrams, and PLC documentation.

Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.

Understanding of preventive maintenance programs and reliability best practices.

Knowledge of workplace safety standards, including OSHA regulations and lockout tagout procedures.
Desired Qualifications:

Associate degree or vocational certification in mechanical maintenance, mechatronics, automation, or a related field.

Familiarity with CMMS software for tracking maintenance activities and asset management.
