Are you looking to kickstart your career in Human Resources? Orange County Transit is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented HR Administrative Assistant to join our team full-time. This entry-level position offers hands-on experience across a wide range of HR functions, with a heavy focus on talent acquisition and recruitment strategy.
- Location: Reliable daily commute to our main office in Walden, NY (Required).
- Travel: Flexibility and willingness to travel to all of our locations in Kingston, Middletown, and Wappingers Falls as needed (Required).
- Schedule: 8-hour shift, Monday to Friday (In-person).
Key Responsibilities
- Pipeline Management: Track and manage all open positions within the company.
- Candidate Screening: Review incoming applications and select qualified candidates for further review.
- Interview Coordination: Schedule interviews and oversee the preparation of interview questions and hiring materials.
- Recruitment Events: Plan, coordinate, and actively attend job fairs and community hiring events.
- Onboarding Support: Assist with the onboarding process for new employees, including completing new hire paperwork.
- Administrative Tasks: Complete daily office paperwork and handle various other administrative tasks as needed.
Job Requirements & Qualifications
- Administrative Experience: Minimum of 2 years of Administrative Assistant experience (Required).
- Recruitment Experience: 1 year of recruitment experience (Preferred).
- Skills: Exceptional communication skills, a welcoming professional phone demeanor, and excellent interpersonal skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite. Social media experience is a plus.
- Organization: Highly detail-oriented with a proven ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Location & Travel: Based in Walden, NY with the flexibility and willingness to travel to all of our locations in Kingston, Middletown, and Wappingers Falls when needed.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
