Soul Restoration Counseling Services, PLLC was founded in February 2020 by Shakeria McGuire, MSW, LCSW, LICSW with a vision to provide compassionate, transformative mental health care that empowers individuals to heal, grow, and thrive. What began as a solo practice has grown into a thriving group private practice comprised of more than 10 clinicians and support staff serving clients throughout North Carolina through virtual telehealth services.

Position Overview
We are seeking a professional, dependable, and customer-service-oriented Evening Check-In Receptionist to support our virtual counseling practice during evening hours. This individual will serve as the first point of contact for clients before their therapy appointments and play an essential role in ensuring a smooth and efficient virtual check-in process.
The ideal candidate is comfortable on camera, highly organized, trustworthy when handling sensitive financial information, and able to learn systems quickly.
Responsibilities
- Welcome clients through our virtual check-in platform before appointments
- Verify client identity and appointment information
- Review client accounts for outstanding balances, copays, deductibles, and session fees
- Collect payments during the check-in process
- Ensure required intake forms, consents, and documentation have been completed
- Verify that client charts are accurate and up to date
- Communicate scheduling, payment, or documentation concerns appropriately
- Document check-in activities and relay follow-up items to the Office Manager and Administrative Team
- Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance at all times
- Provide excellent customer service while maintaining professional boundaries
Qualifications
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Comfortable appearing on video throughout the workday
- Ability to learn new software and systems quickly
- Strong attention to detail
- High level of integrity and trustworthiness, particularly when handling financial transactions
- Reliable high-speed internet connection
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a remote team
- Previous administrative, receptionist, healthcare, or customer service experience preferred
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a healthcare, counseling, or medical office setting
- Familiarity with telehealth environments
- Experience using electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Alignment with and comfort working within a practice founded on Christian principles
