Seeking Fabricators/TIG Welders!
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented welder/fabricator who takes pride in producing high-quality work and maintaining a safe, organized workspace. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with TIG, MIG, and oxy-acetylene welding, is confident in reading blueprints/technical drawings, and can fabricate, repair, and finish metal components to precise specifications. This individual is a dependable team player with strong problem-solving skills, a solid understanding of measuring tools and basic math, and the ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision. They are committed to quality craftsmanship, actively support 5S, and are comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while following all safety standards.
What You’ll Do
- Perform TIG, MIG, and oxy-acetylene welding to repair and fabricate metal components.
- Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and verbal instructions to produce quality work.
- Blend, grind, polish, and finish welds to meet customer and company specifications.
- Plan work procedures, select appropriate tools, and determine material requirements.
- Cut, fit, position, and fasten tubing, flat stock, bar stock, and other metal materials.
- Build machine guards, platforms, shelving, bracing, and other fabrication projects to support facility operations.
- Safely operate hoists and other equipment to move materials and workpieces.
- Use measuring tools such as tape measures and calipers to ensure precise dimensions and quality.
- Maintain a clean, organized work area by actively participating in 5S and continuous improvement initiatives and follow all safety procedures while producing high-quality workmanship in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
What We’re Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Completion of a post-secondary welding program preferred.
- TIG (GTAW) and MIG (GMAW) welding certifications preferred.
- 3–4 years of hands-on welding and fabrication experience.
- Proficiency in TIG, MIG, and oxy-acetylene welding techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and technical drawings.
- Experience using measuring tools such as tape measures and calipers.
- Strong fabrication, grinding, blending, and finishing skills with a focus on quality.
- Basic math skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to plan work independently and solve fabrication challenges.
- Commitment to workplace safety, quality standards, and 5S practices.
- Strong communication skills, dependability, and a team-oriented mindset.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods in a manufacturing environment.
