The Barn at Copper Creek is a wedding and events venue looking for an engaged and motivated individual to lead our events team. We are looking for a team player who is prepared to wear many hats and who can direct a team as well as work independently.
Responsibilities include managing event staff during events, ensuring guest and staff adherence to house rules and best process, coordinating with kitchen manager and bar staff to ensure events run smoothly, managing table and chair movement before and during events. Additional hours may be available for giving tours to and signing prospective clients, depending on whether candidate possesses a sales skillset.
This position ranges in hours based on the event schedule but averages 15-25 hours per week. Candidate is expected to be available for all events, which usually take place on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. This position is primarily seasonal, as our wedding season runs May through October, but we could provide reduced hours during the offseason for the right candidate.
Qualifications
1-3 years experience in event coordinating or management, or hospitality or restaurant management
Preferred Skills
Excellent communication and listening skills, ability to multitask and balance multiple priorities, ability to provide direction to other employees, ability to provide polite but firm correction to guests when needed, interest in special events, attention to detail and engaging personality
Pay: $23.00 - $26.00 per hour, depending on qualifications
