Position Overview:
The Sales Support Specialist will play a key role in supporting and enhancing our regional sales efforts. You will be at the heart of managing customer relationships, driving account growth, and ensuring seamless communication between internal teams and external clients. Your ability to collaborate effectively, anticipate customer needs, and foster long-lasting relationships will be pivotal in helping us achieve sales objectives and expand our market presence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the main point of contact for customers in your assigned region. Respond to inquiries and provide timely, personalized support to ensure customer satisfaction and foster trust.
- Work closely with the sales team, including outside representatives, to identify opportunities for growth and ensure that customer needs are met efficiently and proactively.
- Oversee a portfolio of customer accounts, ensuring that their needs are anticipated and met while tracking performance metrics and opportunities for expansion.
- Review incoming customer requests, prepare detailed quotes, and manage the quote process through to completion. Ensure all relevant information is captured and communicated clearly.
- Support the sales team in prospecting new customers, identifying potential business opportunities, and scheduling meetings to introduce our products and services. Please note there is no cold calling with this role.
- Collaborate on maintaining customer inventories and ensure timely replenishment as needed, aligning with their operational requirements.
- Utilize CRM software to track interactions, manage opportunities, and update customer information. Maintain accurate and timely records of all sales activities and client interactions.
- Assist in tracking sales performance for the region, ensuring that targets are met, and adjusting strategies as needed to align with overall business goals.
- Actively participate in regular team meetings, contributing ideas and strategies to improve team performance and drive sales initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 3+ years of proven experience in sales coordination, account management, or inside sales , preferably within an industrial or B2B environment.
- Must have technical/mechanical aptitude.
- A proactive mindset with a focus on achieving sales objectives and driving business growth.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with customers, internal teams, and stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
