St. Peter School is seeking a caring, dependable, and energetic individual to join our Before & After Care team. This position is responsible for providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for students before and after the school day. The ideal candidate enjoys working with children, is reliable, and models Christian values in their daily interactions.
Schedule
- Before Care: 7:00 AM – 9:00 AM
- After Care: 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM
- Opportunities for additional hours may be available.
Responsibilities
- Supervise students in a safe and positive environment.
- Plan and lead age-appropriate games, crafts, and activities.
- Build positive relationships with students and families.
- Maintain a clean, organized classroom and activity space.
- Follow all school policies and safety procedures.
- Communicate effectively with parents and school staff.
- Model Christian values through words and actions.
- Respond appropriately to student behavior using positive guidance techniques.
Qualifications
- Experience working with children in a school, childcare, or camp setting preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Must be dependable, organized, and able to work independently.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and actively supervise children indoors and outdoors.
- Must pass a background check and meet all state requirements for working with children.
