Job Description: Tuopu USA, LLC is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in Louisville, KY. In this role, you will improve manufacturing performance through process optimization, equipment improvement, and production system stabilization, focusing on eliminating chronic production losses and improving overall efficiency (OEE, cycle time, throughput).
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify production bottlenecks and system losses.
- Lead line balancing and takt time optimization.
- Improve throughput, efficiency, and flow.
- Analyze equipment downtime and failure modes.
- Develop and implement equipment/process improvement solutions.
- Work with Maintenance on reliability improvements.
- Lead cross-functional improvement projects (Lean / Kaizen).
- Reduce scrap, rework, and variation.
- Standardize work and production methods.
- Monitor OEE, downtime, cycle time, and yield.
- Perform root cause analysis for chronic issues.
- Build data-driven improvement action plans.
- Work closely with Manufacturing, Quality, Maintenance, and Logistics.
- Support the production team in implementing process changes.
- Validate improvements with the Quality team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, production engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field preferred; extensive hands-on manufacturing experience is highly valued and may substitute for formal education.
- 3–7 years of manufacturing engineering experience in a production environment.
- Hands-on experience supporting and improving manufacturing processes, equipment, and production operations.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot manufacturing equipment, processes, and production-related issues.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data-driven decision-making skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Experience in automotive or automotive parts manufacturing preferred.
- Required proficiency in English and Mandarin
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
