Hughes Fire Equipment is growing and we have immediate openings for a Body Shop Technician. In the role you will repair, restore, and refinish fire apparatus exteriors and structural components to manufacturer and safety standards. We are seeking a self-motivated individual who takes pride in doing the job right and enjoys working in a small team of professionals. Responsibilities of a Body Shop Technician:
- Remove and replace damaged panels, bumpers, and structural components.
- Perform dent removal, sanding, masking, and surface preparation for refinishing.
- Apply primers, paints, and clear coats to restore vehicle finish.
- Use welding tools and specialty equipment for metal repair and reinforcement.
- Reassemble vehicles and verify safety and quality standards before delivery.
- Maintain clean, safe, and compliant working conditions in the shop.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of metalworking, structural repair, and refinishing techniques.
- Experience repairing both aluminum and steel body components.
- Ability to use pneumatic tools, welding equipment and spray guns
- Pass drug test and background check
