We are currently hiring a Secretary/Monitor to support our women's recovery homes and ensure a safe, supportive, and structured recovery environment. The Secretary/Monitor plays a vital role in assisting clients, maintaining program structure, providing both practical and emotional support and performing clerical duties such as data entry, filling, scanning and typing. We are seeking dependable, compassionate individuals with strong communication and crisis intervention skills. Preference will be given to those with experience in social services or who are working toward a degree in a related field.
We will consider persons at least 21 years of age with excellent driving skills who can support the agency's mission in their interactions with clients.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Ensure the safety of clients and facility.
- Provide emotional support and guidance to clients in recovery.
- Enforce program structure and guidelines consistently.
- Perform light housekeeping tasks as needed.
- Transport clients in agency vehicles for work or appointments.
- Assist with client admissions and orientation to the program.
- Document client activity and progress in the electronic medical record system.
- Front desk/reception for multi-line phone system
- Assess needs of customers and direct to appropriate staff
- Schedule appointments in electronic medical record system
- Model professionalism and dependability in attendance and conduct.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Candidate must have high school diploma or GED.
- Valid Driver's License and good driving record.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Exercise in crisis intervention and conflict management preferred.
- Background in social work, behavioral health, or related field preferred.
- Ability to supervise and manage client behavior effectively.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Knowledge of addiction recovery, case management, or childcare/behavior management techniques is a plus.
- First Aid certification and medication administration experience preferred.
- Dependable, trustworthy, and motivated to support individuals in recovery.
