We are looking for an experienced tradesman with experience in mechanical, welding, fabrication, and maintenance work. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in related fields and the ability to quickly adapt their skills to our grain handling systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Mechanical Work: Installation, maintenance, and repair of grain handling equipment such as conveyors, elevators, augers, and grain dryers.
- Welding and Fabrication: Perform welding and fabrication tasks to repair and install equipment components.
- Blueprint Reading: Interpret and work from technical drawings and blueprints.
- Problem Solving: Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues, implementing effective solutions.
- Electrical Work: Basic electrical system understanding to perform minor repairs and ensure equipment safety.
- Safety Practices: Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
- Precision Work: Ensure precise alignment and calibration of equipment.
- Communication: Work collaboratively with team members and provide clear reports on maintenance activities.
Required Skill Sets
- Extensive experience with mechanical systems and equipment maintenance.
- Proficient in welding and fabrication.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and fix issues efficiently.
- Basic electrical knowledge and experience.
- Commitment to safety practices and protocols.
- Excellent attention to detail and precision in work.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
- Physical stamina for labor-intensive tasks, including lifting, climbing, and working in confined spaces.
- Valid Driver's License
- Commercial Drivers License (preferred)
- Ability to pass a background check.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in agricultural or industrial settings.
- Familiarity with grain handling systems (training will be provided)
- Crane Operator Certification
