Job Description Summary
A BIM Coordinator is responsible for multidisciplinary model coordination, clash detection, and BIM quality control using Revit and Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC). This role supports standardized workflows and ensures model integration across all disciplines. It’s a coordination, QA/QC, and integration role critical to project success “This position is part of a centralized BIM Coordination Team supporting multiple projects across the firm.”
RESPONSIBILITIES
BIM Coordination, Production & Scheduling

Support project timelines by coordinating BIM activities, managing clash detection cycles, and ensuring timely resolution of coordination issues.

Support project teams during design development, construction documentation, and construction phases.

Assist with BIM Execution Plan (BEP) development and enforcement.

Conduct coordination meetings and provide BIM-related input, reporting, and meeting documentation.

Lead coordination meetings with internal teams, consultants, and contractors.

Support the BIM Manager in implementing workflows and coordination strategies.
Design & Construction Documentation Support

Assist teams in aligning BIM models with construction documentation, ensuring coordinated outputs and proper integration between disciplines.

Act as a liaison between design teams, contractors, and consultants regarding BIM workflows.

Provide technical BIM support and guidance to internal and external team members.

Support training and onboarding of project team members on BIM tools and processes.
Quality Control & BIM Standards

Enforce BIM standards, validate model health, review LOD compliance, and ensure consistency across all project models.

Implement BIM standards, naming conventions, and modeling guidelines.

Conduct quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) checks on models.

Ensure models are suitable for downstream uses such as construction, fabrication, and handover.

Generate clash detection reports and coordinate resolution of issues identified in coordination meetings.

Support model audits, health checks, and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
File & Model Management

Manage model aggregation in ACC, maintain version control, oversee model linking, and ensure proper file organization.

Perform clash detection using ACC / BIM 360.

Manage issue tracking, coordination reports, and documentation within ACC.
REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent 5+ years of experience in Design and Construction).

5+ years of experience in a BIM role within the AEC industry.

3+ years of experience in cloud BIM coordination, Revit modeling, and clash detection workflows.

Experience working on multidisciplinary AEC projects.

Experience supporting construction-phase BIM workflows.

Knowledge of BIM Execution Planning (BEP).

Familiarity with ISO 19650 and industry BIM standards.

Strong coordination and communication skills across multidisciplinary teams.

Exposure to automation is a plus.

License and/or certification is a plus.
