Job Summary:
Suwannee Medical Personnel is seeking compassionate and reliable Registered Nurses (RNs) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to serve as School Nurses for local county school boards. The School Nurse plays a critical role in promoting the health and safety of students and staff by providing nursing care, administering medications, supporting health education, and responding to medical needs during the school day.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care to students for illnesses, injuries, and chronic health conditions.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Maintain accurate and confidential student health records.
- Monitor and manage health plans for students with chronic conditions such as asthma, diabetes, and allergies.
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies and coordinate care as needed.
Qualifications:
- Current and active RN or LPN license in the state of Georgia.
- CPR/BLS certification required.
- Previous pediatric, school, or public health nursing experience preferred.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a school environment.
- Must pass background checks and meet all school district health and safety requirements.
