As a Full Stack Engineer at Oncologic, you will build the interface where technology meets patient care. You will develop the web platforms that community providers use to interact with our AI-driven insights. Your challenge is to take complex, multi-modal clinical data and present it in a clean, high-performance UI that fits a clinician’s high-speed workflow.
What you will own
- Modern interfaces. Build responsive, high-concurrency web applications in React and TypeScript, with backend services in Python or Node.js, that visualize complex clinical pathways and AI suggestions.
- Legacy migration & integration. Lead the strategic migration of legacy AWS / Java services into our modern, GCP-native microservices architecture.
- AI product integration. Partner with the AI/ML team to integrate streaming LLM outputs and interactive “reasoning” components into the frontend.
- API orchestration. Design and maintain robust, secure, well-structured RESTful APIs that fetch data from GCP Healthcare FHIR stores and our internal AI engines.
- Performance. Keep the platform fast and lag-free under the load of high-volume clinical data and complex visualizations.
Who you are
- Full-stack expertise: 4+ years building production web applications, with mastery of React and TypeScript on the frontend and strong backend experience preferably in Python or Node.js. A MEAN / MERN foundation is welcome.
- Engineering craft: A solid command of software engineering best practices, including clean, well-tested code (unit and integration tests), thoughtful RESTful API design, version control, and code review.
- Cloud migration: A proven track record migrating legacy systems (for example, Java / AWS) into modern cloud-native environments, with GCP preferred.
- Data fluency: Strong experience with PostgreSQL, BigQuery, or a NoSQL store, and a solid grasp of how to handle unstructured data.
- UX/UI sensitivity: An eye for clean design. You understand that in a clinical setting, information density must be balanced against cognitive load.
- Healthcare product (a major plus): Familiarity with healthcare data standards (FHIR / HL7) or experience building high-compliance enterprise SaaS.
Nice to have
- Real-time / streaming UI experience (WebSockets, SSE) and data-heavy visualization (D3, charting libraries).
- Microservices and containers on Cloud Run or GKE, with solid CI/CD practices.
- Prior work in regulated, healthcare, or other high-stakes environments.

Application Question(s):
- How many years of professional experience do you have building production web applications with React and TypeScript on the frontend paired with Python or Node.js on the backend?
- Describe a project where you migrated a legacy system (e.g., Java/AWS) into a modern cloud-native architecture. What was the scale of the migration and what was your specific role?
- Do you have experience working with healthcare data standards (FHIR/HL7) or building software in a regulated/high-compliance environment (e.g., healthcare, finance, government)? If yes, please describe.
- Which of the following have you used in production: PostgreSQL, BigQuery, NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Firestore)? Please specify which and for how long.
- Please share a link to a project you built end-to-end (ideally data-dense or real-time), along with a brief note on a performance or UX trade-off you made.
