The Passaic County Department of Senior Services, Disability & Veterans Affairs, Division of Nutrition/Meals on Wheels, is seeking individuals with a pleasant personality for the position of Clerk Driver. The ideal candidate will deliver daily meals to our homebound residents. The example of work for this title are for illustrative purposes only. - Have compassion and patience for the elderly.
- Knowledge of safety precautions in dealing with the elderly and disabled population.
- Drives a motor vehicle for the purpose of delivering meals and deliverables to homebound residents.
- Load and unload meal items for distribution to participants and senior centers.
- Understanding of safe driving principles, including rules and regulations on safety driving.
- Check assign vehicle daily and report any defaults in the vehicle.
- Must be dependable and responsible.
Hours:
Monday through Friday: 8:00am - 2:00pm or 8:30am - 2:30pm
Possible Saturdays from 8:00am - 12:00pm
Requirements:
Experience: Willingness to support our mission in providing for the elderly.
License: Valid NJ Driver’s License.
