Leads and manages enterprise IT infrastructure implementation projects supporting the Department of Transportation Headquarters and associated field locations. Responsible for the planning, coordination, execution, and successful delivery of structured cabling, optical fiber, LAN/WLAN, audiovisual, physical access control, telecommunications, and related low-voltage infrastructure initiatives.
Provides overall project leadership for multiple concurrent infrastructure projects including scope management, schedule development, resource planning, quality assurance, risk management, customer coordination, and contract compliance.
Coordinates closely with Federal stakeholders, ServiceNow administrators, technical Subject Matter Experts, engineering staff, and subcontractors to ensure all work activities are properly tracked, documented, and completed within established service levels and project milestones.
Supports project estimating, engineering coordination, material planning, implementation scheduling, field execution, change management, and project closeout while maintaining accurate project documentation and inventory accountability.
Serves as the primary interface between Program Management, Federal customers, installation teams, and engineering personnel throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Telecommunications, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience. Five to seven years of progressively responsible experience managing IT infrastructure or telecommunications implementation projects. Project Management Professional (PMP), Registered Telecommunications Project Manager (RTPM), or preferred equivalent certification. Working knowledge of structured cabling standards, IT infrastructure deployments, and ITIL Foundation concepts are desirable.
