Shift Lead (PM) – Redmond, Oregon

Reports To: General Manager Status: Full-Time, Non-Exempt
Position Summary
The PM Shift Lead is responsible for leading the evening retail operations of the Redmond Oregrown dispensary by ensuring exceptional customer service, maintaining compliance with Oregon cannabis regulations and company policies, supervising staff, and supporting the management team. This position serves as the primary leader during evening shifts, ensuring the store is operating efficiently, safely, and professionally while meeting sales and operational goals.
Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesLeadership
- Lead and supervise evening operations, providing direction and support to budtenders and keyholders.
- Delegate tasks and ensure work is completed accurately and efficiently.
- Coach employees in real time on customer service, sales techniques, and compliance.
- Promote accountability while maintaining a positive and professional work environment.
- Communicate operational concerns, staffing issues, and customer feedback to management.
Customer Experience
- Deliver exceptional customer service and create a welcoming environment.
- Assist customers with cannabis product selection based on their needs and preferences.
- Resolve customer concerns professionally and escalate issues when appropriate.
- Ensure all team members provide knowledgeable, compliant, and friendly service.
Operations
- Oversee daily sales floor operations during PM shifts.
- Ensure opening responsibilities completed by earlier shifts transition smoothly into evening operations.
- Manage store organization, cleanliness, merchandising, and overall presentation.
- Complete nightly closing procedures, including securing the facility.
- Balance cash drawers and verify register accuracy.
- Complete end-of-day reports and required documentation.
- Monitor labor efficiency throughout the shift.
Inventory
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts.
- Investigate and report inventory discrepancies.
- Ensure inventory adjustments and transfers are completed accurately.
- Maintain compliance with Metrc and internal inventory procedures.
- Verify all products are properly labeled, stored, and displayed.
Compliance
- Ensure adherence to all Oregon Liquor and Cannabis Commission (OLCC) regulations.
- Verify customer identification and enforce age verification requirements.
- Follow all cash handling, security, and loss prevention procedures.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding company operations and customer information.
- Ensure all compliance documentation is completed accurately.
Team Development
- Train and mentor new employees.
- Reinforce company policies and operational standards.
- Provide feedback to management regarding employee performance.
- Encourage teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Minimum six (6) months of dispensary leadership experience preferred.
- Previous experience as a Keyholder or comparable retail leadership position.
- Thorough understanding of OLCC regulations and cannabis compliance.
- Strong customer service and conflict resolution skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Proficient with POS systems, inventory software, and Microsoft Office.
Compensation
- Starting wage: $18.00–$19.50 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
- Full-time position eligible for company-sponsored benefits in accordance with company policy.

Schedule Requirements
- This is a full-time position.
- Weekend availability is mandatory, including Saturdays and Sundays.
- Must be available to work PM/evening shifts, holidays, and additional hours as business needs require.
- Flexibility to assist with shift coverage when operational needs arise is expected.
Physical Requirements
- Stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
- Frequently lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
- Bend, kneel, reach, and climb as needed.

Pay: $18.00 - $19.50 per hour
