Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Staff to provide essential assistance and care to male client in Allentown . Duties and responsibilities will include teaching life skills, Companionship , ,meal preparation . Must have expereince working with autism, and other health conditions. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for residents through personalized support, safety oversight, and compassionate caregiving. All positions are paid and require a proactive approach to delivering high-quality care.
Duties
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support.
- Provide compliance with HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality.
- Support residents during meal preparation and feeding, ensuring nutritional needs are met in accordance with care plans.
- promote independence and prevent injury
- Document care activities accurately in accordance with care plan.
- participate in team meetings to update on resident progress.
- Engage residents in social activities and therapeutic programs designed to foster community involvement and mental well-being.
Qualifications
- Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home & community care settings is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of patient observation techniques, dementia care, Alzheimer’s care, memory care, and hospice care practice.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder is advantageous.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly and compassionately with resident.
Pay: $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 23.0 per week
