Keep It Cooler LLC is a refrigerated warehouse and transportation company specializing in produce consolidation, cross-docking, and cold chain logistics. We partner with growers, shippers, and transportation companies to keep fresh produce moving safely and efficiently throughout the supply chain.
We are looking for dependable, safety-minded forklift operators who take pride in their work and want to grow with our company.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate electric sit-down forklifts in a refrigerated warehouse.
- Load and unload refrigerated trailers efficiently and accurately.
- Read and interpret Bills of Lading (BOLs) and shipping paperwork.
- Verify pallet counts, commodity types, and shipment information.
- Stage freight for outbound shipments.
- Build loads using proper loading techniques while maintaining safe axle weights.
- Maintain product quality and protect the cold chain.
- Perform daily equipment inspections and report maintenance concerns.
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe.
- Follow all company food safety and workplace safety procedures.
Qualifications
- Previous forklift experience required.
- Experience operating electric sit-down forklifts preferred.
- Produce warehouse experience is highly preferred.
- Forklift certification is preferred but not required.
- Candidates who demonstrate safe operation and strong performance may become eligible for company-sponsored forklift certification after one year of employment.
- Ability to read and understand Bills of Lading.
- Knowledge of produce commodities and pallet configurations is a plus.
- Understanding of proper trailer loading techniques to prevent overweight axles.
- Ability to work in refrigerated environments for extended periods.
- Reliable attendance, positive attitude, and strong work ethic.
