We are looking to hire a fun loving, motivated, preschool teacher for our growing school in Camp Hill, PA.
Position: PreK-4 Lead Teacher
Education: 4 year degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE), Elementary Education (EE) or very closely related field preferred or 2 year degree in ECE/EE with equivalent field experience.
Hours: September-May, Tuesday-Friday, 3.25 hours/day (8:30 am -11:45 am).
* This is a part time morning position that will start on August 25, 2026.
Lunch Bunch Option: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 11:30 am - 1:00 pm, October - May.
Compensation: Starting at $17/hour
Daily Classroom Responsibilities
● Plan, prepare and implement plans for learning (lessons & daily activities) in accordance with program curriculum and PA standards
● Teach classroom circle lessons and activities
● Develop positive relationships with students
● Promote the development of self-esteem, self-discipline and social skills
● Work as a team with the assistant teacher to implement classroom routines such as welcoming students, craft and circle time activities
● Share the responsibility of maintaining a safe, welcoming, and organized classroom environment for children. (switching decorations monthly, sanitizing toys, cleaning tables, preparing water pitcher, rotating toys, checking backpacks, parent information/announcement board)
● Prepare students for seasonal (ie. Halloween and Christmas) programs
● Delegate tasks and work cooperatively with the assistant teacher
Additional Responsibilities:
● Prepare weekly parent notes/updates and monthly newsletter/calendar and all other parent correspondence (ie. Seesaw, email)
● Communicate with parents (in person/on phone/email/back to school night)
● Attend monthly staff meeting (or less)
● Lead and chaperone field trips as planned by Director (October & November)
● Participate in online continuing education
● Attend summer staff planning/development and workday
● Support Preschool Director with site visits for potential students throughout the year
● Other duties as requested
