You’ll provide critical speech and language services to K-12 students, including specialized caseloads in ASD, EBD, and InD units, within a collaborative and supportive network of school professionals. Assignments are on-site throughout the school year and include maternity leave coverage, offering an engaging variety of school environments and age groups.
What You Need to Bring:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active SLP licensure for practice in Florida
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required
- Recent experience in school settings or pediatric populations preferred
- Strong collaboration skills—ready to work independently or as part of a team
- Ability to manage diverse caseloads from PK to high school
- Flexibility to adapt to new school assignments throughout the school year
- Completion of required fingerprinting (potential for expedited process via DOH)
What Your Day Might Look Like:
- Provide speech-language therapy to students at one or two schools, depending on assignment
- Deliver both direct services and consultative supports, depending on student needs
- Document and track student progress, develop and update IEPs
- Communicate regularly with teachers, families, and school teams
- Participate in student support meetings, sharing expertise for optimal student growth
- Serve as the only SLP at some sites or work in tandem with SLP and SLPA colleagues
- Adapt your practice across various grade levels and specialty classrooms
