The ACE Consulting Group is seeking an experienced Technical Ink Department Manager to lead the technical operations of a growing liquid ink division in Bryan, Texas.
This is an outstanding opportunity for a hands-on technical leader with deep expertise in liquid inks, Flexographic (Flexo) printing, flexible packaging, and customer technical service. As the Technical Ink Department Manager, you'll lead a team of technical professionals while partnering with customers, sales, manufacturing, and leadership to improve products, resolve technical issues, and support business growth.

What You'll Do as the Technical Ink Department Manager:
As the Technical Manager, you'll provide leadership for the technical team while serving as a trusted resource for customers and internal stakeholders.
Responsibilities include:
- Lead and develop the technical services team, including chemists and technicians
- Serve as the technical expert supporting customers throughout the region
- Visit local customer facilities to troubleshoot ink performance and application issues
- Partner with Sales to support existing accounts and help secure new business
- Drive continuous improvement and cost reduction initiatives
- Evaluate and improve existing liquid ink products and applications
- Develop technical solutions for flexible packaging customers
- Coach, mentor, and develop technical personnel through ongoing training and performance management
- Collaborate with Operations, Manufacturing, Quality, and Leadership to improve processes
- Monitor departmental KPIs and prepare monthly reports for leadership
- Promote a culture centered around safety, quality, customer service, and continuous improvement
What We're Looking For in the next Technical Ink Department Manager:
The ideal Technical Manager will possess:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry experience
- 5+ years of experience in liquid inks, Flexographic (Flexo) printing, or flexible packaging - REQUIRED
- Strong knowledge of ink systems, raw materials, color performance, and printing applications
- Technical service experience supporting manufacturing customers
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence positive change
- Strong customer-focused mindset with the ability to build long-term partnerships
Salary + Perks:
- $125,000 Annual Salary, ability to pay more based on experience / expertise
- Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
