Era Living is seeking an experienced Executive Director to lead Ida Culver House Broadview, one of Seattle’s premier retirement communities. Primary Responsibilities:
The Executive Director is a full-time role responsible for providing 24-hour leadership and direction for overall community operations, ensuring delivery of quality care and resident-centered services in accordance with company policies and governing regulations. This role establishes and executes strategic plans to achieve resident satisfaction, employee engagement, financial performance, and compliance goals. As the Executive Director, you will lead the community and promote Era Living’s mission, philosophy, and values in all internal and external interactions. This role includes:
Building relationships with residents, families, and community stakeholders and ensuring high customer service standards are upheld.
Leading and developing department directors.
Driving employee engagement and organizational culture.
Balancing operational excellence with long-term strategic initiatives.
Championing innovation and continuous improvement, including operational efficiencies, technology implementations, and capital improvements.
Driving and sustaining occupancy goals through effective leadership of sales teams, exceptional customer service, and strategies that promote resident satisfaction and retention.
Ensuring quality of care and compliance of programs and facilities with regulatory agencies (city, state and federal).
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Demonstrated success leading large, complex operations through multiple department leaders, including responsibility for staffing, budgeting, regulatory compliance, and organizational performance.
Able to develop and maintain effective working relationships with all residents, employees, family members, senior management, and visitors
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; ability to meet strict deadlines and manage multiple projects
Good judgment and problem-solving skills
Sensitivity to the needs and concerns of older adults
Ability to maintain resident and Era Living confidentiality
Computer proficiency with confidence and efficiency using Word, Outlook, Powerpoint, and Excel
Ability to read, write and communicate in English
Ability to pass DSHS background check, required
Education and Experience:
5 years' experience in Operations Management in retirement living, assisted living or related hospitality industries, required.
Bachelor's degree in health-related, business, or gerontology field preferred. Equivalent combinations of education and 5-10 years of operations leadership experience in retirement living, assisted living hospitality, or related industries will also be considered.
Must have current certification as specified by state agency or ability to obtain certification within state agency guidelines:
o Able to meet the requirements of the WAC (Washington Administrative Code) outlined in 388-78A-2520
