Unarmed Security Agent – Special Events

What You’ll Do
As an Unarmed Security Agent, you will be trained to work in several different roles. Depending on the event and your assignment, you may:
- Welcome guests and answer questions in a friendly, professional manner.
- Check bags and operate security checkpoints to prevent prohibited items from entering the venue.
- Direct vehicle and pedestrian traffic in parking and event areas.
- Help manage crowds and maintain safe, orderly guest movement.
- Conduct foot patrols throughout the venue and surrounding areas.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas.
- Observe your surroundings for suspicious activity, safety hazards, or other concerns.
- Explain venue policies calmly and respectfully.
- Use portable radios to communicate with supervisors and other team members.
- Help de-escalate tense situations through professionalism and good judgment.
- Assist with security lockdowns and closing procedures after events.
- Document and report incidents accurately.

What You’ll Need to Be Successful
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Excellent customer-service and verbal communication skills.
- A friendly, professional, and respectful approach when working with the public.
- Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in busy or high-energy environments.
- Reliability, punctuality, and dependable transportation.
- Willingness to work as part of a team and follow supervisor instructions.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.
- Successful completion of the company’s interview and hiring process.
Previous security experience is helpful but not required. We welcome applicants with strong customer-service skills and provide training for all assigned roles.

- August 17, 2026 — 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
- August 18, 2026 — 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
- August 19, 2026 — 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
- August 20, 2026 — 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
- August 21, 2026 — 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
- August 28, 2026 — 4:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.
- August 29, 2026 — 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
- September 19, 2026 — 1:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
- October 10, 2026 — 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
- October 31, 2026 — 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
- November 7, 2026 — 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
- November 21, 2026 — 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Additional assignments will become available throughout the year.
Virginia DCJS Registration
Upon hire, employees must register with the Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services as Unarmed Security Officers. This includes:
- Submitting fingerprints and completing the required criminal background check.
- Completing the required 01E Security Officer Training Course within 90 days of hire.
- Meeting all applicable DCJS eligibility requirements.
CSPS will provide guidance throughout the registration process.
Preferred Qualifications
It would be a plus if you also have:
- Previous security, event, hospitality, parking, or customer-service experience.
- Experience working with large crowds or in fast-paced environments.
- The ability to diplomatically manage challenging situations.
- Bilingual communication skills.
