Large manufacturing company is looking for a Continuous Improvement Specialist

Description ~
- Support company's operational excellence journey by leading the coordination with the local site team in their focus on continuous improvement / lean initiatives in the reduction of waste.
- Support the sustainability program by coordinating and working closely with the site team in driving their sustainability initiatives.
- Utilize lean management / lean six sigma tools methods to build continuous improvement capability in the organization and at the plant. Assist business units and departments in designing optimal team collaborative problem solving environments with visual management and standard work.
- Facilitate the selection, scope, and planning of specific improvement projects, linking process deficiencies directly to the bottom line.
Requirements ~
- BS in engineering or similar. Technical foundation is desired. (BS in Industrial Engineering a plus)
- Strong knowledge in Toyota Production Systems (TPS), Lean and / or Six Sigma concepts / methodologies required. (Green Belt or Black Belt from an accredited program a plus.)
- Health & Safety knowledge and experience, including foundational OSHA knowledge.
- 5+ years experience leading Continuous Improvement Projects and / or Kaizen events.
- Ability to effectively influence Plant leaders and shopfloor personnel.

Ability to facilitate and lead cross-functional teams to deliver targted objectives.

Ability to understand, analyze and arrange data and metrics into concise and meaningful communications and presentations for leadership’s use and understanding along with project management skills
