Technical Arts Group is seeking an experienced Senior Video Technician to join our Video Department at our Moonachie, NJ warehouse.
This is a hands-on position supporting the preparation, testing, maintenance, organization, and quality control of professional video equipment used for concerts, corporate events, touring productions, festivals, and other live events.
The ideal candidate has experience working with LED video walls, cameras, video processing, switching, signal distribution, and related live event video equipment and understands the level of preparation and attention to detail required in a professional production environment.
You will work directly with the Video Department Manager and other warehouse departments to ensure equipment leaving our facility is complete, properly tested, correctly packed, and ready for production.
This position is ideal for an experienced video technician who wants a stable full-time position while continuing to work with professional live event technology and developing into a larger leadership role within the department.
Responsibilities
- Prep, test, configure, and QC professional video equipment for upcoming productions and rentals.
- Prepare and test LED tiles, processors, cameras, lenses, switchers, playback equipment, converters, distribution equipment, monitors, cabling, and related accessories.
- Build and test LED systems and identify damaged or malfunctioning tiles, modules, cables, and components.
- Pull and stage equipment for outgoing orders accurately and efficiently.
- Verify that orders are complete and equipment is properly packed before leaving the warehouse.
- Test and inspect returned equipment before returning it to inventory.
- Diagnose and document damaged or malfunctioning equipment.
- Perform basic repairs and maintenance when appropriate.
- Maintain accurate equipment status and inventory information within the company's inventory management system.
- Maintain an organized, clean, and efficient Video Department.
- Properly store, label, and maintain department equipment and accessories.
- Assist the Video Department Manager with department workflow and priorities.
- Help train less-experienced Video Department employees as needed.
- Assist with equipment loading, unloading, staging, and movement throughout the warehouse.
- Communicate equipment issues, shortages, damages, and technical concerns promptly to management.
- Follow TAG safety policies and established warehouse procedures.
- Assist other departments when operationally necessary.
- Perform other duties as assigned based on production and company needs.
Qualifications
- 2–3+ years of professional live event video experience preferred.
- Experience with LED video walls and professional video equipment strongly preferred.
- Working knowledge of LED processing, cameras, switching, signal flow, conversion, and distribution.
- Experience with Brompton, NovaStar, Barco, Panasonic, Blackmagic Design, Ross, or similar professional equipment is a plus.
- Ability to troubleshoot video signal and equipment issues.
- Experience with live events, concerts, corporate production, touring, festivals, or AV rental operations strongly preferred.
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn inventory management software.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to work efficiently under deadlines and changing production priorities.
- Must be dependable and willing to take ownership of assigned responsibilities.
- Must be willing to work additional hours and occasional weekends during peak production periods.
- Valid driver's license preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical education or training is a plus.

- Ability to regularly lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Frequent bending, reaching, stooping, pushing, pulling, and handling of production equipment.
- Ability to safely use hand tools and warehouse equipment as required.
- Ability to work in an active event-production warehouse environment.

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
