Job Overview
The Home Course is seeking a skilled Golf Course Equipment Manager to maintain and repair the equipment used on our golf course. This role is vital in maintaining a pristine and efficient golf course environment, providing exceptional service to both staff and guests. Your expertise in equipment troubleshooting, mechanical systems, and diesel engine and small engine repair will drive the success of our operations. The equipment manager properly communicates any needs or problems relating to the maintenance or repair of equipment to the Head Superintendent and/or the assistant. We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented professional with a passion for machinery and customer service excellence to keep our course running smoothly and efficiently.
Duties
- Oversee the daily maintenance, servicing, and repair of all golf course equipment including mowers, carts, and power tools
- Diagnose mechanical issues using schematics and electrical diagnostics to determine necessary repairs or replacements
- Perform diesel engine repairs, small engine maintenance, and general equipment troubleshooting to minimize downtime
- Manage inventory of tools, parts, and supplies essential for equipment repair and maintenance
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment to ensure safety standards are met and perform preventive maintenance tasks
- Lead manual handling activities such as heavy lifting of machinery parts and equipment components safely and efficiently
- Coordinate with vendors or service technicians for specialized repairs such as welding, soldering, or generator repairs
- Maintain detailed records of all repairs, maintenance schedules, and parts used to ensure compliance and operational efficiency
- The equipment manager places safety as a top priority and is responsible for maintaining a clean service area and maintenance building
Qualifications
- Proven Golf Course experience or extensive background in automotive or heavy machinery repair
- Strong service technician experience with electrical work, electrical diagnostics, hydraulic, and mechanical systems repair
- Knowledge of schematics related to electrical wiring diagrams and mechanical layouts for troubleshooting purposes
- Hands-on experience with diesel engines, small engines, power generation systems, and heavy equipment
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering irons, and other maintenance tools
- Familiarity with vehicle maintenance procedures including engine repair and power system troubleshooting
- Customer service skills to effectively communicate with team members and vendors while maintaining a professional approach
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while adhering to manual handling protocols
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with the golf course maintenance team

Pay: $30.00 - $38.00 per hour
