Responsibilities
- Conduct flight training sessions with students, guiding them through various flight maneuvers and procedures in accordance with Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) and industry best practices
- Develop and refine customized curricula tailored to individual student needs, incorporating innovative teaching methods and multimedia tools to enhance learning outcomes
- Evaluate student progress through practical assessments, written exams, and debriefings, providing constructive feedback to support continuous improvement
- Maintain detailed records of training activities, flight hours, and student performance in compliance with regulatory standards
- Ensure all aircraft used for training are properly maintained, pre-flight inspected, and operated within safety guidelines
- Communicate complex aviation concepts clearly and confidently through public speaking engagements and classroom instruction
- Mentor students on aviation career pathways, including military opportunities and further certifications
Requirements
- Valid Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) certificate issued by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) or relevant authority
- Extensive experience with aircraft systems including airframe maintenance and troubleshooting
- Strong knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs), aviation safety protocols, and best practices in flight instruction
- Proven ability to develop engaging curricula that cater to diverse learning styles and multilingual audiences
- Excellent communication skills with a talent for public speaking and working effectively with students of varying backgrounds
- Prior classroom experience or hands-on teaching experience in aviation or related fields
- Background working with students in both civilian and military aviation environments is highly desirable
- Demonstrated commitment to safety, professionalism, and continuous learning within the aviation industry
