Aesthetic Nurse
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced detail-oriented and empathetic Registered Nurse (RN) to join our plastic and aesthetic surgery team. You will support patients through their elective, cosmetic, and reconstructive journeys. This role combines clinical excellence in pre- and post-operative care with hands-on assistance during clinical procedures. You will serve as a primary educator and advocate for patients, ensuring safe outcomes and high satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
· Patient Consultation & Education
o Conduct initial assessments and discuss patient aesthetic goals.
o Educate patients on surgical risks, benefits, and realistic outcomes.
o Review pre-operative restrictions and post-operative healing protocols.
· Clinical & Surgical Support
o Prepare patients for surgical and non-surgical procedures.
o Assist the surgeon during in-office procedures and minor surgeries.
o Maintain sterile fields and manage surgical instrumentation.
· Post-Operative Care
o Monitor patient recovery immediately following sedation or anesthesia.
o Manage pain control, wound care, dressing changes, and suture removal.
o Conduct follow-up phone calls and evaluate healing progress.
· Aesthetic Treatments (If Applicable)
o Administer cosmetic injectables like neurotoxins and dermal fillers.
o Perform energy-based treatments including lasers, BBL, and radiofrequency.
o Provide medical-grade skincare consultations and chemical peels.
· Administrative Excellence
o Document detailed patient charts, photographic timelines, and treatment plans. Obtain before and after photos.
o Manage inventory for medical supplies, implants, and aesthetic products.
o Comply with all state board nursing regulations, OSHA, and AAAASF standards.
Qualifications and Skills
- Education: Associate or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN preferred).
- Licensure: Active, unrestricted RN license in the state of CT.
- Certifications: BLS and ACLS required.
- Experience: 2 years of experience in plastic surgery, dermatology, OR, or medspa required. Experience with cosmetic injectables is a strong plus.
- Skills: Strong manual dexterity, sharp aesthetic eye, exceptional interpersonal communication, and a comforting bedside manner.

Pay: $40.00 - $45.00 per hour
