Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Sales Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and a passion for providing exceptional service in a retail gun store environment. As a Sales Associate, you will play a vital role in enhancing the shopping experience for our customers, assisting them with their needs, and driving sales through effective upselling techniques. Applicant must have understanding of current New York State firearms laws. In addition, must have knowledge of various firearms in order to assist customers and provide accurate informed recommendations. Applicants should be confident in explaining different firearms types, features, and appropriate uses to ensure a professional and safe sales experience.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with inquiries regarding.products and services.
- Operate the cash register and handle transactions accurately using POS systems.
- Maintain knowledge of current promotions, sales, and product information to effectively communicate with customers.
- Engage in upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities while ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Assist in stocking shelves, organizing products, and maintaining a clean shopping environment.
- Demonstrate phone etiquette when handling customer calls or inquiries.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve store goals and enhance the overall shopping experience.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a Firearm retail environment is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with customers.
- Familiarity with cash registers and POS systems is an advantage.
- A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to work as part of a team are essential for success in this role.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
