Once a part of Kenrick-Glennon Seminary's campus, the Cardinal Rigali Center in Shrewsbury, MO is today the headquarters and curia (governing body) for the Archdiocese of St. Louis.
The 2nd Grade Classroom Aide at Holy Spirit Catholic School supports the classroom teacher in creating a structured, nurturing, and faith-centered learning environment. This role assists with instructional activities, classroom management, and daily operations to help promote student success and uphold the mission of Catholic education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the 2bd Grade Teacher with classroom instruction, small group activities, and individual student support
- Help maintain a positive, respectful, and faith-filled classroom environment
- Support classroom management and reinforce behavioral expectations
- Prepare instructional materials and organize classroom resources
- Supervise students during transitions, lunch, recess, and other activities as needed
- Provide additional assistance to students who require academic or behavioral support
- Maintain confidentiality regarding student information
- Participate in school events, Mass, and religious activities as appropriate
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to support student learning and school initiatives
Qualifications:
- High school diploma required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred
- Experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting
- Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills
- Ability to follow directions and adapt to classroom needs
- Commitment to supporting the mission and values of Catholic education
