At Mathnasium, we’re passionate about helping students build confidence and succeed in math. We’re seeking a dynamic District Manager to oversee four company-owned centers in Southern California, leading high-performing teams while driving enrollment growth, retention, operational excellence, and exceptional family experiences.
This role is ideal for leaders with experience managing multi-location service-based businesses such as learning centers, tutoring organizations, fitness studios, childcare, membership models, or franchise operations where relationship-building, lead conversion, and customer retention are key drivers of success.
Key Responsibilities

Drive center performance by managing enrollment growth, lead conversion, student retention, revenue, and profitability

Analyze trends and implement action plans to improve business metrics and customer experience

Lead monthly KPI reviews with executive leadership and provide strategic insights

Hire, coach, and develop Center Directors and staff to build high-performing teams

Create a culture of continuous learning, accountability, and operational excellence

Ensure consistent execution of the Mathnasium Method, sales process, and instructional quality

Conduct regular center visits to support teams and reinforce best practices

Partner with marketing and community outreach to drive local growth and lead generation

Manage center-level financial performance, staffing, and scheduling for profitability
What You’ll Bring

3+ years of multi-unit leadership experience in franchise, membership-based, educational, fitness, childcare, hospitality, or service-oriented businesses

Proven success driving enrollment, membership, retention, or customer acquisition goals

Strong leadership, coaching, and people development skills

Operational and financial management experience across multiple locations

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, people-centered environment

Our teaching method, the Mathnasium Method, is the life’s work of Larry Martinek, Mathnasium’s Chief Instructional Officer and a teacher and math teaching consultant in the Los Angeles area for more than 35 years.
