American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring active DC RN licensure and specialized emergency certifications including NIHSS, TNCC, PALS, and ACLS.

Work in a fast-paced Emergency Department treating all patient types and acuity levels
-
Patient population ranges from urgent care and psychiatric to pediatric and critical care/trauma cases
-
Manage critical care skills including medication titrations, arterial lines, mass transfusion of blood, and chest tubes

Schedule consists of 3x12-hour day shifts per week

9-week assignment length

Active DC RN license required (no pending licenses accepted)

Current certifications required: NIHSS, TNCC, BLS, PALS, and ACLS (AHA only)

Minimum 1 year of ER experience required

Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program required

BSN highly desired

At least 2 years of prior work experience in a US hospital in the ED specialty required

Travel experience preferred

Coordinate and deliver care to patients with complex nursing needs to ensure the highest level of safety and quality while promoting a positive patient experience

Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility for consideration

Two manager or supervisor references preferred, verifying most recent experience within the previous 12 months, with at least one from the most recent employer
