Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and guide them to their seats, creating a friendly and inviting atmosphere
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable
- Serve food, beverages, cocktails, and spirits with professionalism and flair, ensuring proper presentation and timing
- Process sales transactions efficiently while handling cash, credit cards, and other payment methods with precision
- Upsell menu items including wine, specialty drinks, or desserts to enhance guest experience and increase sales
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and adhering to food safety protocols
- Assist in food preparation or kitchen support as needed to ensure smooth service flow
Requirements
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments; fine dining experience is a plus
- Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Toast POS.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and handle diverse needs
- Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively during busy shifts while maintaining attention to detail
- Knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail preparation, and beverage service techniques
- Basic math skills for processing transactions accurately and managing cash handling responsibilities
- Food safety certification or willingness to obtain required sanitation training prior to employment
- Previous experience with food handling, serving, bussing, or host/hostess duties preferred
- Must be 21 years old.
