work hours are M-F 8:00a.m. to 4:00p.m.
No weekend and/or evening schedule
-Virtual academic support for students with mental health/learning disabilities
-Follow IEP goals and collect data on specific goals
- Assist in implementing educational programs and activities for students with autism
- Provide support and assistance to students in their daily routines and activities
- Assist in implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Support students in developing literacy skills through reading and writing activities
- Assist with classroom management, including maintaining
- Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive behavior and social skills development
- Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to support student learning and development
Qualifications:
- Experience working with students with autism or other special needs is preferred
- Knowledge of childhood development and educational strategies for students with special needs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively work with students, parents, and colleagues
- Ability to adapt to the needs of individual students and provide appropriate support
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in helping students succeed
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
-Some college or higher degree preferred
-Medium to strong academic knowledge of multiple subjects to support students in elementary, middle and high school levels
-Strong initiative and creativity to keep students engaged and motivated
-Must be punctual and reliable
- Competency in Zoom and Google platforms with all associated features
- Willingness and ability to learn new online schooling platforms as needed
-Be able to multi-task
