Duties
- Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup.
- Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions to inform treatment plans.
- Assist with chairside procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to ensure efficient and comfortable patient experiences.
- Take and interpret medical imaging such as X-rays while adhering to infection control and aseptic techniques.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote lifelong oral health.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient records, treatment notes, and medical history in EMR (Electronic Medical Records) Dentrix.
- Follow HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient confidentiality and secure handling of medical records and documentation review processes.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Dental Hygienist in a busy dental office or clinic environment.
- Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control protocols, and medical coding standards.
- Familiarity with pediatric dentistry practices and working with children is highly desirable.
- Proficiency with EMR systems such as Dentrix for documentation and record management.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology, vital signs monitoring, and medical imaging procedures.
- Experience with dental assisting techniques, aseptic procedures, and infection prevention measures.

Pay: $30.00 - $36.00 per hour
