WellnessSpace Brands is a dynamic, fast-paced Tampa Bay-based manufacturer of innovative wellness and recovery products. We are seeking a talented and experienced Mechanical Engineer – Product Manager to take ownership production of one or more of our product lines. This role bridges the worlds of mechanical engineering and product management, requiring someone who will be deeply hands-on with its design, development, and manufacturing execution.
The ideal candidate brings senior-level mechanical engineering expertise, a product-ownership mindset, and the interpersonal skills to guide and mentor production employees. This is a full-time, on-site role at our Clearwater, FL facility.
Key Responsibilities
Manufacturing Engineer Product Support
- Serve as the subject matter expert and voice of the product.
- Champion a quality-first mindset throughout product production.
- Mentor production employees and support their technical growth with day-to-day guidance Identify opportunities to improve product reliability, reduce costs, and manufacturing time through engineering innovation.
- Lead team to maximize output and quality
- Maintain thorough documentation of test procedures
- Communicate product status, risks, and decisions clearly to production managers and or the R&D team.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.
- 5–8 years of hands-on mechanical engineering experience, with demonstrated progression in responsibility.
- Solid understanding of manufacturing processes including fabrication, injection molding, welding, and assembly.
- Experience with plumbing, fluid systems, or thermal management in product design is a strong plus.
- Demonstrated ability to manage the production of one or more product lines.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with a quality-oriented mindset.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Must be local to the Tampa Bay / Clearwater, FL area or willing to relocate prior to start.
Preferred
- Experience in consumer products, wellness, fitness, or recreational equipment manufacturing.
- Familiarity with UL, ETL, CE, or other relevant safety and compliance standards.
- Exposure to agile product development methodologies or stage-gate processes.
- Experience mentoring or leading production employees.
- Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
